Hmm. Anyone interested in doing a line, your Snape to my Lily? I miss playing everyone's favourite canonically-legitimized Mary Sue, now with flaws courtesy of fanon Rowling Redhead, and I'm feeling that dynamic right now. School days, first war, some sort of AU?
For the record, I'm not looking for, like, lobotomized!emo-love-poetry!Snape. Just the acerbic, world-hating Severus we all used to love to hate to love. That's the fun of the dynamic, anyway: when the irresistible cheekiness meets the immovable misanthropy, etc etc.
Comment, PM, whatever. Pretty puh-leeeease with every flavoured beans on top?

The village of Ashe Cross would not seem to anyone who happened upon it to be the sort of town destined to produce more than its share of Heroes and Heroines; for while the daily cares and small dramas of a neighbourhood may seem quite epic to its inhabitants, they are bound to appear trivial to the less discerning eye, and the village in question, while picturesque in its way, appears no more romantic than any of the hundreds of villages like it to be found in the British countryside.
Still, when a neighbourhood is meant to become the scene of adventure, something will happen to throw adventure in its way.
For Ashe Cross, events have conspired to impress not one but two Most Novel Events upon the generally quiet town. The quartering of a Regiment in the neighbourhood would be enough to send the community into a tizzy on its own with the arrival of the soldiers in their red coats and the enhanced society which only Officers can impart to the local assembly. It seems quite unnecessary, then, that this momentous event should coincide with the arrival of another, if more private, set of newcomers. And yet it has, for the long empty manor known to all and sundry as Wingham Place has just been let! And not only let, but let to a handsome bachelor and his beauteous sister, rumoured to be eligible to the tune of 9,000 a year!
With happenings such as this, a good deal of excitement is in the air. How could Ashe Cross fail to be destined for greatness as the site of uncountable adventures, romances, heartbreaks and scandals in the near future?

Give me one of my characters you know and I will give you at least ten facts about them according to my own personal canon. This can range from their birthday, favourite colour or even their earliest memory up to what they had last night for dinner.

Ok so.
If Edward and Jacob were to fuck, who do you think would top?
I mean Edward obviously, but Jacob would be so offended by the whole idea and basically I think this could make for the single best piece of fanfic ever. Someone write a novella about Edward and Jacob fighting over who screws who stat, kthx.
( The discussion that inspired this poll. )

Conundrum: A friend really, really wants me to bring The Infamous Gertie to Grimm. However, I'm afraid if I do I will piss off various FT people, since I totally flaked on FT (learning experience: I don't do well in truly large games- I get overwhelmed at the amount of keeping-up there is to do, put it off, end up not keeping up at all, and...ta-da...totally flaking!) I'd really like to oblige my buddy, and I DO miss playing Gertrude like WHOA, and Grimm is much smaller activity-wise so I THINK I could handle it (and if I can't, I'm prepared this time and will see it coming and can at least bow out gracefully, not flake.) But I don't want anyone to hate me. Help. WHAT DO I DO.

I'm really sunburned, y'all. And the funny thing is you totally can't tell unless you see the burn line; I'm so pale that 'really sunburned' on me looks normal-people coloured.
Back in a few days. Thank god. Am bored, y'all. ...so much so that i just said y'all twice in one post. three times! ahh.

F the I of all rp partners and such like, I will be MIA for the next week or so (as of, like, noon tomorrow.) We're going to Cape May, where I will have occasional but definitely not reliable internet access. You might get a comment or two from me over the week, but no more than that, so consider me functionally hiatused.

The year is 1979, and all is not well in the Wizarding World.
Of course, not everyone is willing to admit that. While the man known as Lord Voldemort has been gathering his followers and killing his enemies in a progressively worsening reign of terror for nearly a decade, the official word from the Ministry of Magic is that he does not exist; Voldemort is, according to the authorities, nothing but a figment of the imagination, a spectre seen only by those paranoid enough to believe that a Dark Lord could rise in Britain. The deaths are, they say, explicable and unconnected.
And Voldemort is making the most of his time as an unopposed spectre, a nightmare in the dark. But it is time for the nightmare to end and the Dark Lord to step into the day...

As both of the Marauder Era games I am in are now lacking a James H. Potter, I figured I'd pimp a bit.
Handful of Dust: Marauder's Era 6th Year AU. Tom Riddle is Minister of Magic. All sorts of unfair laws are passing. Much drama has recently been afoot, as Bellatrix Black decided to get her revenge on a group of students who had been trying to get her fired from her high-powered Ministry position; never being one to do things half-way, Bellatrix murdered the families of Emmeline Vance, Lily Evans, and Edith Ashbury; as Edith happened to be home to care for her sick mother at the time, Edith too was killed. I mod and play, among others, Lily Evans, so I'd really love to see a good James.
Scotopia: Marauder's Era 7th Year Canon Compliant. The Death Eaters are killing people left and right; the Marauders (plus Lily, Benjy and Marlene) have recently become the youngest members of the Order of the Phoenix. James would clearly have beaucoup de plot. I play Sirius, so again, a James would be really, really appreciated.

| Handful of Dust |
 |
It's been nearly seven years since Tom Riddle was first elected Minister for Magic, and with a slew of subtly anti-muggleborn legislation, he's beginning to show his true colours. Any opposition is under-organized at best, a complete mess at worst. The future of the Wizarding World has never been more uncertain. Where do you stand? Handful of Dust Going strong since April 1st, 2007, Handful of Dust is a plot-heavy, Alternate Universe Marauder-Era game with plenty of room for development in any direction you can imagine. And because it's AU, the future isn't set in stone- anything can happen, and anybody at all can play an instrumental role in shaping the future of Wizarding Britain. There's no Lord Voldemort, but that means nothing; heroes are needed like never before as the nation tries to decide: does blood matter? In the end it may all be ashes to ashes and dust to dust, but until then everything is uncertain, and nothing is equal.
